Really Intentionally Dumb Unix Search-and-rePlace
For all those boring web maintenance jobs! Though it will work on any text file, I created this tool with mucho assistance to update webpages that had blocks of text that might be slightly variable (line breaks, etc). The specific case was to replace a hardcoded footer with an include link, but I've scrubbed the code and it should be portable to any such application.

This is nowhere near as sophisticated as HTMLsrpl, and that's how it's supposed to be. RidUsap doesn't care if it's inside or outside a tag. Or if it spans lines. Or if it looks funny. RidUsap couldn't care less, 'cuz ridUsap is dumb. Intentionally. Really.

RidUsap comes with very limited documentation commented in the code.
