I've begun doing what I can to work on various open source software projects as I get interested in Linux and Open Source projects

FireFox

I love FireFox, it's the best thing to happen to the web since, well, the web.

Ad-Block Filters

For convenience and sharing, as I can no longer stand to see advertisements. The adblock extension for FireFox/Mozilla is pure bliss, and I like to share my adblock filters, which you can import in the preferences menu for Adblock (Updated, 5/10/2005!)(right-click to download).

Firefox Extensions

Mainly for my own convenience, I have my most-installed extensions zipped here, for when I'm trying to bring someone new into the FireFox world.

Mozilla WebServices Toolbarlets

Mozilla Webservices enable all sorts of cool things, like direct access to Babelfish. The examples page linked above gives some translation tools, but none for languages I use. Therefore, here's a simple shift of those examples for my (and now, your) free use -- drag 'em to your BookMarks toolbar, highlight text and press the button!

• English -> Spanish
• Spanish -> English

Give 'em a sec, it takes time to hit babelfish and get back to you.

Search Plugins

FireFox/Netscape/Mozilla/etc. support more-or-less easy creation of your own search plugins for the searchbox in the top-right corner of your browser. I've created and submitted a few new searches:

• Yahoo! Videos
• Google Images
• UT Directory (Auto-extracts to Windows' Firefox directory)
• UT Directory (Plain zip file)

Download and unzip them to your searchplugins folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\SearchPlugins on Windows), then restart your browser, and voila!
