W hit was born in Perelinn, the first child of a skilled craftsman and his young wife, who nourished his overwhelming intelligence and curiosity, forgave his missteps, and did their best to keep him alive through his childhood, despite his absolute sense of invulnerability and total lack of regard for his own safety.

Apparent Race: Human [brownish skin tone]

Whit is a fairly nondescript fellow, with a lean, wiry frame and body tone. This is not to say he isn't a handsome man. Women (and some small number of men) think it a pleasue to look upon him, but his attractiveness is not distinctive enough to gain him excessive notice.

He usually is garbed in indigo or black trousers, a white or black shirt (depending on the time of day and the mission at hand). The armor he wears is a suit of Masterworked studded leather, matte balck down to the studs themselves.

They succeeded, and Whit grew into a charming and dashing, and, if somewhat devilish, basically good young man. Lacking the careful attention needed to do fine craft work, and too interested in reading and dreaming besides, Whit found that he was far better at convincing people to give him money in exchange for information than he was at almost anything else, and he soon found a patron in a successful merchant with ties to the Imperial family.

Jan Alenaren, the merchant, dealt in unique and rare goods. Of course, this kind of business lives and dies by its timeliness and the ability to constantly one-up one's competitors. So, if masterwork hair daggers crafted by insane street artisans in Khezek Tor were all the rage, Whit would make sure that a shipment bound for Jan's competition would meet with delays, being misplaced in a carter's stable yard, for instance, for just long enough. Maybe until the day after a ball or open court, just enough for demand to swell the profit margins obscenely. Whit was very good at this type of work.

Through Jan, Whit came to the attention of the Emperor Delwen Kar-Thone's seneschal, who saw to it that Whit was enrolled at the Academy of Diplomats. However, a brief but intense power struggle left his mentor, also under the protection of the Emperor's seneschal, dead and Whit decided that Lyrenn would be much safer place for a young man with a quick mind. He left that night with the clothes on his back and a set of very nice Thieves Tools, and shortly thereafter arrived in Lyrenn, where he quickly found a job performing sleight-of-hand tricks between acts at Gebarius Method's circus, and performing certain security duties after hours...
