The Northern Plains

From the horrors of the DeathWaste to the hardships of the Tariq Desert to the plains of Mag Mor, the creatures of Northern Talanu are strong and strange.
The Phage
Phages are the undead spirits of those who died a lingering death from forced starvation. They can commonly be found in prisons of all sorts, and in the deep wilderness. Phages are tormented with eternal hunger, but as they have no bodies they cannot even pretend to eat. As a result, they hate and resent all living creatures that can still partake of this wonderful life experience.
The Truathak
The Truathak are a magically created race of dragon-like humanoids. They are the product of magical breeding experiments performed by the Nemeddians, an ancient race of people who once dwelled in the Great Tariquan Desert long before the Kaeron first swept across the land.

The OtherWorld

The OtherWorld is host to the fay, all of which are chaotic and unpredictable, but some are just downright mean.
The Boggart
The Boggarts are one of the most despicable examples of dark Fay, and are disliked even by their Unseelie brethren. They are vile, ill tempered, and cruel, and take great pleasure in inflicting pain and distress on others. They are also indiscriminate in their choice of victims, and are just as likely to eviscerate one of their own kind as a human or animal.
The Pooka
Pookas embody the manic, demented genius that permeates the Unseelie court of Arawn's Otherworld. They are the fire that whips the faithful of the Cult into a frenzy, then drives them out into this world to wreak havoc. They themselves enter the real world only to assist the most favored of the Cult's cells, and even then only in times of dire need.
Redcap
The redcap is a giant among the normally diminutive races of the Otherworld, and it is the stuff of nightmares. The creature gets its name from the shapless bag of a hat its kind normally wears, a hat it keeps died dark red with the blood of its victims.
Spriggan
Spriggans are the kobolds of the Otherworld. They are plentiful, vicious, and dangerous if ignored. When Arawn brought his corrupting force to the land, the Spriggans were one of the first of the Court to emerge from the growing shadows. They are now the most common of Arawn’s minions, and are the ones most likely to answer the summoning ritual of a Cult member.

The DeathWaste

The Magical disaster area that divides the Saelis and Tariq deserts is host to many fierce monsters.

Miscellaneous

Naugrim
The Naugrim are an example of natural balance. They exist and have evolved with the sole purpose of hunting Illithid. They have crafted new kinds of weapons and cultivated a virulent poison to help them in their task. And physically and magically, they have evolved special abilities and defenses keyed towards Illithid.
