("Matt Broglendyre")

Severian Darkstone
Known to his companions as "Matt Broglendyre", one of many personalities he slipped into when circumstances warranted being more anonymous. Shadowwalker, Peer of the Realms, Hero of Haran, GodSlayer. Severian gave up anonymity far too early for his liking by association with the Companions, and severed all but the faintest of contacts with his ShadowWalker associates.Matt never was one for direct confrontation (not counting coming in second in the boxing tournament), preferring the subtle approach. He was master of using odd tools to achieve impossible jobs--low level 'utility' spells took on new power in Matt's hands--as did common items like salted red herrings, marbles,, and chalk dust. Later on the the adventuring, he became synonymous with his prized Nolzur's Magical Pigments--and their multifarious uses.
Not to be limited to the combative and the arts of trickery, Matt also designed the dungeons of Broken Spite Keep to protect the wealth of the Companions, and turn theives into goldfish.
